From the Director
We are excited you are considering Awesome Kids Preschool (AKP) as a place for your child to learn and grow! We want to join hands and partner with you in the education of your preschooler. It is our desire that each day your child comes home excited to share all they’ve learned and experienced.
Awesome Kids Preschool is committed to educating the whole child. Our curriculum is designed with your child’s spiritual, intellectual, social and physical development in mind. Most importantly, your child’s day will be filled with many opportunities for them to learn about God’s world and His Word. Awesome Kids Preschool is where kids and families can make friendships and create community.
We hope you’ll schedule a tour with us soon and allow us to partner with you to lay an excellent foundation for the start of their education.

Our Programs
- Awesome Kids Preschool offers 2–5 day options during the school year (September–May).
- We offer classes for ages 2 years old through Pre-Kindergarten.
- Classes are based on age.
Our Philosophy
- Each child is seen as unique and special, created in God’s image.
- Children’s play is important to their development.
- Children are provided with the opportunity to play, share, and learn with other children in a safe, loving Christian environment with an atmosphere of acceptance and warmth.
- Parents are supported in the difficult but rewarding task of child-rearing throughout the school year by the teaching staff, church, parent events, and educational readings.

To schedule a tour please let us know what days and times work for your family. We typically host school tours on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:30–11:30 AM.

Enrollment for the 2026-2027 School Year

We highly recommend that you complete the enrollment packet on a computer or laptop rather than through a mobile device.
ENROLLMENT INSTRUCTIONS:
- You will need to create a Brightwheel profile for your child who hasn’t attended AKP.
- Once you are in your profile, you should see an option to “Select or add a student to begin”
- Choose “add a student” to create a new profile for your child
- Once the profile is created, you should be able to complete the enrollment packet
- All forms are included in the packet as well as the Registration Fee ($100) and Supply Fee ($80).

Once we receive your packet and fees, we will message you to let you know your child’s class placement or if any changes need to be made.

KANSAS STATE FORMS:
Please download these forms for completion. Once completed, please scan forms to either akp@awesomekidspreschool.com, mail to Awesome Kids Preschool 14200 Kenneth Rd, Leawood, KS 66224 or drop them off at the Church office to the attention of AKP between 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM M-Th. Forms for the 2026–2027 school year are due no later than August 1, 2026.
Meet the Teacher
Meet the Teacher will be on Monday, August 31, 2026. We will send detailed information with a Sign Up Genius through Brightwheel.
First Day of School
The first day of school will be Tuesday, September 8, 2026, extended day will also begin that day.
